Fun Friday Giveaway: The Giving Quilt In Paperback

SewCalGal previously reviewed "The Giving Quilt", by Jennifer Chiaverini, from Plume Books, when it was released in hardcopy form in October 2012.  This book is an inspirational book that I believe every fan of Chiaverini will certainly enjoy, as well as quilters that enjoy going on quilt retreats, making new quilting friends, making charity quilts, as well as simply enjoys a fun read.  It is a delightful book that will be available in paperback on April 2nd.  Yeah!

To help celebrate the release of this inspirational book in paperback, Plume Books has offered two prize bundles for followers of SewCalGal that live in the US or Canada.  Plume Books will be shipping the prize to the lucky winners.  And, each prize bundle will consist of a paperback copy of this book, as well as a special Jennifer Chiaverini Quilt pin designed for The Giving Quilt.  Each book in the Elm Creek Quilts series has a special enameled pin and they are fun to collect and wear!

P1010079 copy

I also want to let my followers that follow via Google/Reader know that Google has announced their plans to obsolete this tool on July lst.  There are several alternatives, which I'm researching and I'd certainly like to here your recommendations for life after Google/Reader.

Please complete this raffle copter form to enter this giveaway

Don't forget you can also find this new book at Amazon, various book stores and many premiere quilt shops.

The two winners of this giveaway will be announced on SewCalGal next Friday, April 5th.

  2. I've been following you with Google Reader. I've been trying out Feedly and Bloglovin', but both of them have things that I'm not happy with. I signed up for "The Old Reader", but still waiting for them to import my google reader blogs. They're backed up. Maybe next week, I'll look for more things to try.

  11. What a great giveaway. I started with Feedly, like the organizational aspect but not all of my blogs transferred = lots of work. Bloglovin' took all of my blog list and lets me make comment, etc. without any extra clicks so I've been using it a lot

  15. I love Jennifer Chiaverini's books, they make especially great travel reading when I'm flying across country to visit the grandbabies! I follow blogs via the Dashboard, which I hope isn't also going away, but have linked my blog to Bloglovin since it seems many are going to that.

  29. I'm behind in my Elm Creek reading. This would be a great addition to my library. Thanks for the chance. As for Google Reader, I don't think I use it, I just use the dashboard reader. I don't know if that one is going away (I hope not). I've never clicked on the Google Reader button, and, when I add a blog to my list, I don't click there, either. I'm hoping that this doesn't affect me. If only I could call and talk to a HUMAN, it would save me hours and hours searching online for answers. I miss being able to reach PEOPLE.

I also didn't know that there were pins to go along with each book! Thank you for letting me enter your contest!
