Flip Your Way to Fabulous Quilts

Flip Your Way to Fabulous Quilts: Take Folded Corners to New Heights, by Donna Lynn Thomas published by Martingale & Company is another fun quilt book that has clearly written instructions and great visuals.  As implied in the title of this book, Donna shares designs based on strips sewn together and cut again, and with another piece of fabric sewn on a corner and cut (taking folded corners to new heights), creating spectacular results!

I like how Donna categorized the 13 projects, in this book, into three categories:
“Try Me” projects to build confidence, “Grow with Me” projects to develop skills further, and “Master Me” projects to help quilters become masterpiece level quilters.

This book does a great job sharing insights on Basic Quiltmaking techniques, making this a great book choice for beginner quilters.  Insights are also included to help you complete your quilt (e.g. borders, bindings, and more).

The Hugs & Kisses patterns is so very cute and is certainly a great design to make a quilt for any newlywed,  special romance, or to give to someone near & dear.  Yes, I can think of many Hugs & Kisses quilts I need to make to give to family & friends.

This is a fun book for any beginner quilter as well as quilters of all levels that are looking for fun designs.

I hope you get a chance to check out this book at your local quilt store, or online at Martingale & Company's online store.
